Anyway if you have read the book, plan on it, or don't care, I am excited to say that the book is becoming a movie!!! The movie comes out August 23, 2012! Here is the trailer right below!!!
Here is the synopsis on the back of the book!
"Meghan Chase has a secret destiny—one she could never have imagined…
|
Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school…or at home.
When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.
But she could never have guessed the truth—that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face…and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart."
There is also a book trailer! Check it below!!!
My Review for The Iron King:
In my opinion The Iron Fey series is beautifully crafted! Despite my efforts to hide from Jay my secret love for fictional romances (NOT A LOT OF THEM!) I simply had to put this series out there! The main character's are completely attachable and bury themselves into the hearts of readers.
The first main character is Meghan Chase, the girl protagonist of the books, she awaits the day someone of her dreams comes to sweep her off her feet and carry her away from her rough lifestyle of hand-me-down clothes and her de-modernized home. The only thing she can rely on is her best friend who is not as he seems...
Robin Goodfellow (also known as Robbie,Puck, and Meghan's BFF), yes THE Robin Goodfellow of William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream, the mischievous fairy of Summer with the strange ability to win Meghan's trust and friendship (and maybe a little more than friendship...).
That is until Prince Ash of the Unseelie Court comes along, with his closed off behavior and dark mysterious ways Meghan can't resist the urge to uncover the secrets of the ice prince. Then inevitably the conflict comes to hand, a mysterious force that could possibly wipe-out the fey Summer and Winter. Meghan,Puck, and Ash trek out on a journey to save the land of the fey, get Meghan's brother back, and stop the unstoppable force of The Iron King.
My overall review with this book is a 9 out of 10. I'm serious guys if you enjoy a little romance, action, and sci-fy The Iron King is for you!
