The Pier

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

I have finally decided on a summer learning plan. Now, I have said before that I am a nerd and even a dork at times (but a smart dork at that), but I still love to learn different things despite anything anyone says. But, what does that have to do with anything?

This is Baby (Not really!)
Today my family went down to this pier and park that is under the bridge that goes to James Island (I think). If that's not the right place, don't blame me. Half the time I have no clue where I am. But anyway, we all went down to the pier and showed my dad the river because he has never been to the pier, even though he always passes it. Once we walked to the end and back, my mom went into the cafe to get some information about when they had movies. The river wind hit my face so hard, I could barely hear my dad say "Start walking toward the park, children."

He refers to us by children because...well, I don't know. Maybe because we're his children. Makes sense! So, me and my sister, Tiny Dancer (Tiny for short), walked real fast to the park. Once we got inside, we both realized we forgot about dad and Baby, my other little sister, behind us. I turned around and saw them running around in the grass.

Tiny and me went into the park and ran straight to this thing were you get sick from spinning so fast. Tiny got to it first, of course. So I had to spin her around, and around, and around. And all she did was scream, and scream, and scream. She laughed her head off, spinning on that thing! And finally I wanted to get on, so I ran to another one. But when I got on, I felt kinda weird. Like I shouldn't be on here. It was like all the adults were staring at me, the only twelve year old there. So I called Tiny over so she could keep me company, and the eyes suddenly shifted over to some other "too old for this park" kid.

When Baby was done playing after half an hour or so, we left to go eat at this taco place. And it was delicious. The only bad thing was that I had on a sleeveless shirt, and it was freezing in that place. I was literally frozen to the seat, and shaking. Maybe it was all of the cold the Dr. Pepper. The world may never know.

Today may seem a bit boring (even though it was boring now that I get to thinking about it), but it was fun. It was simple yet effective, I finally got to get out of the stinken house!
