I'm Back!

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

If you haven't noticed, I've been gone. I have written nothing and commented on nothing and done absolutely nothing. Well, that's a bit of a lie. Because I was doing something. In Georgia!

I went to Georgia to see my beautiful family because my cousin was having a high school graduation party. So, of course we went because no one can resist a party. And her party (the cousin) was amazing!!

It was like a Chucke Cheese but much cooler, bigger, and didn't have snotty-nosed kids there (well, some). Dave and Busters! Have you ever heard of the place? Its a Entertainment and Restaurant. the food was basically hamburgers (but really fancy), fish (super fancy), and pasta (double fancy). And it seriously was nice.

The entertainment was HUGE fruit ninja, Pac-man, Race cars, big rides on little machines, and a massive  ticket store. It was fun running around in this enormous room!!

(Press me to make larger!)
When I got home the next day, I checked my kindle for any emails from anyone that might be visiting the site or a SUBSCRIBER, but all I got was one. I was kinda disappointed. But then I got over it once a watched Euro 2012.

Euro 2012 is European soccer teams competing to win the the European Football Championships. I watched the Republic of Ireland go against Croatia. I was totally hoping Ireland would win, but sadly, they lost 3 to 1. It was really hard to watch because the defense was just...a disaster!

Jay

Ps. While I was writing, I looked this up for what ever reason. Oh, I'm going to try and post EVERYDAY!! I'm happy for you. And I'm posting the email I got tomorrow, and I'm posting my story tomorrow. Oh, and keep voting for the background picture if you haven't already! Stick around, peps! And subscribe. I better get an email soon. Like, really soon. With a story, too.

Nerds

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

Last night I was listening to "Us Against The World" by Coldplay. And I realized just how much I love the band. H loves them too, if you haven't noticed.

Anyway, I have, in fact, been working on designs. If you don't know what designs I'm talking about, I'm talking about t-shirts. I know I've been saying I've been working on it but...I really got working on them. Like, I'm really devoted and I'm going to be done with my very first design. The sad thing is I need to talk to H about these. I am actually thinking of calling her for a meeting.

Meetings sounds really fun. Mainly when there is a lot of money involved, charts, and official talk. And just planning for it is a thrill. Because all you can think about is the plans and ideas that will go around. And you'll be able to learn different thinks and have a better idea for the stuff you have made. That's the point of a meeting but when kids have meetings, it seems way more fun then grown up meetings. We laugh and get side tracked, (which doesn't make me doesn't make me happy after a minute or two) and we have fun. Now, I really want a meeting. Like now.

But let's talk about now and not the future I haven't even planned for. Today, I watched the "National Geographic Bee." I thought it world be about culture around the world, and animals, and languages, and stuff like that. But it was really about geography. I guess I should have seen that coming because it's in the name. But I read the magazine all the time. And its about the world, and it's basically capturing it's beauty and telling the world about the things we can do to keep it beautiful. But I guess I really was stupid because it's in the name: National Geography. It was really just cool to watch them compete.

Some people might be asking why I was watching. Some of you might just be thinking I just want to tell you why I was watching it. You are absolutely right. I do want to just tell you. But anyway, my dad had turned it on and I came out of my room for a glass of water. As I walked to the kitchen, he said," Look at all these kids that are smarter than you." Of course he was joking. So I just smiled and thought typical dad. I just replied, "Say that again. I didn't hear ya." And that's when he said it again. So I rushed over to the couch, forgetting all about my water, and whispered, "I'm watching these geeks."

I loved watching it, listening to my dad try and guess the answers. My mom came in and just shook her head. "My little nerds." And she walked away because she must have thought this was boring. At first it was, but I really got into it, as I previously said.

At the end, when my dad realized I didn't even try answering the questions, he go frustrated. He started saying that he was getting me a soccer ball with the world on it. And every time I kicked it, he wanted me studying it.  He's probably going to forget. And I already put world geography on my list of things to study this summer, so I don't know what else anyone can do.

Last Day was the Best Day

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

Let me tell you, today was crazy. First, I got hit in the head with a care bear today and that caused me to have to go to the nurse. Second, my stupid bus driver actually let us sit wherever we wanted, which was great. And lastly, I kinda like science a little more now. And wish I could stay with my science teacher the rest of the summer. I'm going to miss her.

So, let's start with first period. Ms. History took my class out to this outside classroom in the school garden. She let us dance, sing, sign stuff (that was not the school's property), and act as silly as possible. It was so much fun because all we did was take pictures and jump around and laugh. Everyone was happy for the moment even if some people were not even meant to be friends.

Speaking of which, do you guys (and ladies) remember Blue? Yeah, I haven't talked about him for a while. But he sure was being a jerk. He decided that we were officially not friends. I don't think he remembered when I told him the day before I didn't give a crap about him, but ya know, he had to say it to me. Not the other way around (cause that's just crazy!)

We played but then the bell rang. I also hope you remember Beatles. We both have theater classes right next to each other, so we walked there together. Yesterday, she had to wear a skirt. It was utterly hilarious! So we walked to 2nd period. In my class, we said bye to our never returning theatre teacher and played some games, because games are just fun!

I'm going to skip 3rd because it was boring. We did what we usually did: play guitar but I got one missing a string so that sucked. The bell rang and I went to 4th period. My science teacher, Ms. Science was at the back table and I came rushing over so she could sign my notebook. I waited for a long time before she actually signed it, poor me. After she signed it, I went to listen to my Ipod. I didn't want to talk to anyone, otherwise I would just get annoyed with their stupid hugs and goodbyes. So I'm sitting on my table and this guy called, Hobbit (He sings this song called "We're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard") threw a care bear at some one but missed and hit me. It didn't hurt, of course, so I threw it at his feet. I didn't know any better! He picked up the care bear and missed his target again. It hit my right on my right eye and a little bit above. And it hurt.

Ms. Science was going crazy. After I went to the nurse, she was hugging me and making sure I was okay. My head hurt so much. And she made feel so much better. At that moment, I felt like I had really missed out on something. I mean, she has always trusted me and has taught me things I would never have imagined learning. But I felt like I could have been more than just a trusted student. I could have been her friend and really gotten to know her beyond the "science teacher."

5th period's E.L.A, we finished this long book we were reading. It was called "The Wednesday Wars." I absolutely loved the book and hope to read it by myself once I get the chance this summer. In 6th period's Math, we played bingo. I hated it. But I then got to escape to Ms. Science's room so she could check up on me again to see that I was still alive. Of course, I was just happy to talk to her again. 6th period is our last period of the day so I stayed there for the rest of the day. But I did have to go my stuff from the math room!

Happy Summer. I'm working on the shirts. I hope that you guys will email me and tell me about your days. Maybe I can compare!

Jay

Ps. On the last of school, it seems you stat to really miss the stuff you have. And people neeed to suck it up and stop crying! (H was sobbing ;)

And to Ms. Science, I just wanted to let you know that wherever you go, you are always in my heart. And I wish I could have really appreciated you a little bit more than I did before it was too late. I now, I don't know what to do because your leaving. No one has ever made me feel so smart and wonderful in such a small way. I wish you didn't have to leave. Just remember me please.

Books

"This is not a novel to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force."-Dorothy Parker

Hey everyone!!! H is here! Don't kill me, I know I haven't written in forever! So today I am writing an extra long post about. BOOKS!!! (Oh how very interesting...) Shushies!!! I know what your thinking: "BOOKS!!! HAS SHE LOST HER MIND!!! I JUST GOT OUT OF SCHOOL!!!!" Well suck it up!!!
Anyway...books are just. Indescribable (What a nerd...). AHEM!!!
Books are passageways to things only our minds can think of. They are our escape. You have no idea how much books have influenced my life. I write this because sadly today was my last day of school. ;( Teachers as you may know encourage reading. Thus we have our dreaded summer reading! The GiverLois Lowry. (Comment or e-mail if you know what I am talking about.)
You know what I am feeling lazy as usual so here is a great song by Coldplay-Viva La Vida
I love this song. Have a good summer & don't forget to ....SUBSCRIBE!!! (Its Free!!!)

Mondays

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

Some of you must be really mad at me for not posting anything all last week and some of you must  think I'm a slacker. But trust me, I was screaming my head off (in my brain which kind of hurts) because I couldn't  go onto the computer. The computer wasn't acting right and the wi-fi was just not working. It really sucked!! I was just so sad and really hoping that H would post something but, sadly, she did not. But that is okay. Because I'm back!

So today was a pretty awesome day! At my school, we watched this hand bells performance. That was...interesting and definitely not boring. I mean, it was pretty and everything but I wasn't very interesting. It was just...unwatchable. I am serious. I felt bad for the 7th graders having to play. And the teacher was no better. She wouldn't stop talking. She is nice but I wish she would have just told us the title and not told us about how great hand bells was, and they have to play two hand bells in the same hand. Not one but TWO! Two. How incredible. But I'm not kidding. I kept whispering to my friend, Shaggy (he has got a lot of hair on his head), that I was going to fall asleep. Please don't think I'm rude. It just wasn't rememberable.

After the hand bells performance, this collage dude named Travis. He plays the electric violin! How awesome is that? He played "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz, "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay, and one of his own songs but I really can't remember the name of it. But, this guy should really advertise the musical arts to young people. Watching him play makes me really want to learn how to play. Right now I'm in the process of playing the acoustic guitar and it is coming along pretty well. But, if I could, I would totally drop it and start the violin. But I just love playing the guitar a lot. It is super fun, and you can do some much with just a few chords!

But back to Travis. I was so amazed when I saw he didn't have any music sheets or anything. He just closed his eyes and played. It was beautiful and all the students and myself were not falling asleep. In fact, some kids got up and clapped and yelled for Travis. And Shaggy wouldn't stop saying he was going to buy his album. I don't know what his last name was but if you find it, please tell me because I want to buy his album too!

Speaking of buying stuff, I made a poll a week ago about making products for the blog. A lot of you said that we should totally sell stuff like shirts, pins, bags and stuff like that. Now, I also say that someone said we should just not do it. I kinda want to know what that person was thinking. Not that I'm made. I'm just sad a bit :( Do you see this person! You made me sad!! But I'm still going to make stuff anyway to raise money for the blog!

Oh, and now, Shaggy is our advertising manager. Fancy word for, he is going to help with the ideas. I'm so happy today!

p.s. check out the other tabs and I am working on those videos. Email us and say who your talking to (Jay and H) Stay awesome.

Talent Show

Dear people's faces I shall called my diary,

Recently, I have been using the Videos and Photos tab to talk about this talent show at my school. I guess schools these days are totally into talent and what people can do. But that's been happening for years and years so, I have no room to talk!

Anyway, the school is having a talent show. I had to beg H to sing "Glad You Came" by The Wanted. She wanted to do "Crazy Train" but I just didn't exactly feel like singing that song. So she did that wit some other girls. When, I got her to sing, it was awesome. I loved practicing with her because she has such a beautiful voice. She can hit all these high notes I would never dare to hit though I can hit low notes she probably never tried to sing. It was fantastic! Until we got to the audition.

At the audition, she was nervous in a none nervous way. I mean, I was definitely shaking and thinking to myself, "You're not nervous, you're not nervous." I didn't know what else to do. I had to get over the fact I was being judged by my  teachers and standing in front of other people probably joking and making fun of me. I just had to think of something else. But H seemed to take it so well, even though she was freaking out. Which kinda annoyed me. I just wanted to tell her to calm down and possibly shut her mouth if she couldn't stop worrying.

I didn't shake. I didn't worry. I didn't think. At all. I just wanted to get this all over with so I could go cry in a pillow. I sat through all the other performances that were much better planned than H's and I's choreography. Some could probably sing better than the two of us not nervous and itching to get out. Some probably were just better than us.

Our names were finally called. I felt kinda cool in what I was wearing. I felt invincible. Like people that wear sunglasses at night. Just that cool.

The song started and I started shaking once again with every movement. I know. I 'm so wimpy. I mean, come on. I perform on a stage in theater for much more people than just 30 people. I would have thought I could get through this itty bitty little audition without shaking and having a cracked voice. I just couldn't do it. I really couldn't!

But I got through it. I felt humiliated. But H was standing next to me smiling. So this made me just laugh. It wasn't like I was going to cry or something. It was just for fun. I knew I would be lucky to get in. And my chances shot up when H decided to help me. But still, our chances were slim.

But, now, I had another audition with H's other group because they really wanted me to help. So I did. I definitely could not keep a straight face through this. Afterwards, I laughed it out. "Crazy Train" was just so funny to sing and think about. I knew my chances were sooooo slim.

Anyway, today, I checked if I got in. And guess what! I failed!! I did not get in. I bet it was all my fault!! Epic Failure. But I'm so happy today about it, its more like a win! So good for me!

Jay

p.s. I'm going to start doing these videos with stick people. It might just be cool. So look at the other tabs! And happy Mother's day!

Musical Secret

I have a secret that I might as well share with everyone because it's definitely becoming known: I love music. The right music can make me feel inspired or warm inside. All because I hear this music, this wonderful music.

Some music is sad others are preppy, happy music. Others are slow and meaningless. Of course, I don't listen to the meaningless ones because...well, their meaningless! But some songs that mean absolutely nothing still seem to get stuck in America's head. Maybe because  the singers carry a pretty sweet tune or that guitar in the background sounds so delicate and fragile, it's amazing. Other songs that are actually have a meaning suck as love, make you happy and appreciated as the Temptations sing My Girl.

Some songs just have a sadness that makes you want to repeat it over and over again. It's has beautiful lyrics and a fantastic emphasis on life. Just as Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift featuring The Civil Wars demonstrates for us. It almost makes you cry as a story is painted in your head so somberly. It's magnificent.

Other songs are preppy and happy and fit to make you dance. It keeps replaying in your head because it has such a catchy tune. How do the song writers do it? Like Pink along with all the other animals of the Arctic in Under Pressure

Thanks and join me some other time for some more music!

Are you Ghetto?

I have heard a lot of people now-a-days calling other people and things Ghetto. I am so sick and tired of it. Why do I have to be ghetto? Because you have nothing better to talk about? Seriously, if your one of those people, you need to totally quit it.

Not only is calling someone Ghetto racist, it's also not correct. Ghetto is a noun that means an overcrowded urban area often associated with a specific ethnic or racial population; especially because of social, legal, or economic pressure.

Ghetto is not that cool. It is a place. It is caused by economic pressures, social problems, and legal troubles. And you kids actually want to live in a place where you most likely don't have a lot of money, don't have that many friends, and have LEGAL PROBLEMS. Really, is that what you want? Think again because that just is not right. People from the Ghetto might not actually have these problems but then again, they wouldn't be living in the ghetto.

So think twice about who are you going to discriminate and make fun of. It truly is not fun for those who are going through these hard times like he have today. So, don't mess around. You've never experienced were the people in the Ghetto are coming from. And if you have, don't encourage those who haven't to actually make fun of you. Then, after a while it wouldn't be so fun anymore.

For now, just enjoy the world you live in and help those around you. Don't make fun of them. Then we can all fix our world together, hand and hand. I hope you like John Legend's Wake Up Everybody just as much as I love it.
