Touching the Sky

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

I feel inspired by dance and ballet. I was dancing in my room and did this hip-hop/ jazz/ ballet dance thing. It was...a nice combo...

Yesterday my mom, sisters, and I went out to the park. Didn't sound like fun at all because I just wanted to go eat. But my mom had already made up her mind to take Baby and Tiny to play.

When we got there, I didn't know what to do because I just felt out of place. I instantly went to the things that make you dizzy. I found a way to make it twist without you needing anyone push you but today I had forgotten how. So I looked like a complete idiot on some kid's toy, doing nothing. That's when I called Tiny over to give me a push. I called for her, and she looked dead at my. I did a motion for her to come to me and waited a few minutes before I saw her one a different twisting toy.

So I walk over to her, steaming with anger. "Tiny, why didn't you come to me when I called for you?"

Finally she looks up from her fun and replies, "I didn't hear you." I just lost it then. How do you not hear someone but reply to them when they call you over?

I just let it go, but not completely, and walk away. I go onto the swings and just think for a while, watching the little kids play and listen for the cars on the bridge above the park. I did actually feel like a bird, the way the wing hit my face, and then it felt like I was falling back down to the ground. It liked the pain it brought in my chest when I went down, grasping for air. I closed my eyes and thought about stuff whatever came to mind. That's when two boys, about my age, come to the swings.

It sounded like they were mocking me. They said things like, "I can fly," and "I can touch the sky." I forget what else they said but they kept looking over at me. It was just annoying but fun to listen to them talking to each other.

The boy closest to me looked over and said, "We're swinging at the same time. See. Up...down...up...down...up...down. Come on, say it with me."

So I started to chant with him as we went up and down.

After about 30 minutes with these guys, Tiny comes over and says it's time to go. But I didn't want to leave. Not one bit. But I had to or they would leave without me. So I ran to catch up with them and was pretty much happy the rest of the day.

Riding

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

Yesterday I was sitting in my room doing some sit ups and started charging my ipod. That's when I wanted to go and enjoy the outdoors on a bike.

I put on this soccer under shirt and some shorts. Then I got my socks and tenni (no one says tennis shoes anymore) shoes. I got my two dollars, like I bring every ride, and put it in my sock.

That reminded me of when I went to my soccer club's huge event, and my mom gave me $10. She said to put them in my sock. About an hour later I was very hungry. When I took out my money, it was drenched in sweat!

Anyway, I also grabbed my ipod so I could listen to something and look incredibly cooler (even though I'm already popular). I go and get on my bike and head off. The first thing I notice is how empty the neighborhood looks. How lonely the streets are. And it nearly killed my to know that my shorts were hiking up my legs.

I ride through the neighborhood, and it's just huge. I wave at the cars. But when they don't wave back, I start to get self conscious, tucking at my shorts.

I finally get to my destination. The little clubhouse near the entrance. It's surrounded by the green golf course, loud pool, and tennis court. I enter the clubhouse, which is empty except for the people eating outside and the two people at the bar.

As I go and get myself a candy bar, I notice the two people at the bar is a dad and a boy. The boy is talking to this guy working in the kitchen, and it turns out he's twelve...like me. And I'm just looking around, paying for my candy and just wondering when the heck did this guy come to the area. I mean, shouldn't I when a guy my age moves into my neighborhood and decides to eat at the clubhouse?

So I left, saying nothing to the boy or man (he looked just a bit scary) and rode home. Afterwards, I sat in my room wondering if I should have said anything.

I just told myself no

Heartbroken? Just a Bit

Dear people's faces I shall call my diary,

Tuesday was one of those days were I wished they just didn't happen, if you know what I mean. My crush, the one I actually fantasize about and write his name in super loopy and curly letters, was a complete jerk.

To protect his identity and my own dignity, I'll refer to him as Blue.

Let's begin with when I got on the bus that morning. Not many people ride the bus me ad H ride because it's the early bus and apparently, everybody wants to be late for whatever reason.I may sound like a nerd, but I would rather get to school early and study than talk to my friends. My friends aren't going to bring my grades up one bit! Anyway, we're all sitting on the bus, talking. H and I are discussing the external design of the blog, others are singing or smacking-talking one another and ect.

We finally get to school and I'm still talking to H. She has some money to go to the school store. Now, in the morning, we go to the lunchroom so she can eat some breakfast and I can get milk occasionally. But instead, we went to the school store instead and then the lunchroom. As we were just about to go to the store, I saw Blue. That's when I automatically dragged H into the building. I don't exactly know why I did this. It's not like he could see me. I didn't want to see him, period. I should have taken that as the first sign from mother nature.

After hearing the bell go off for our first class of the day, Ms. History, we went upstairs to our class together. Ms. History had been rearranging the desk multiple times so we students could basically sit next to anyone, which excited everyone. So, H and I found a spot next to each other. My other friend, Beatles, was practically forced to sit next to Blue which made me shed a quick tear for her. (He steals pencils and stuff).

Now, Ms. History gave us a four corners statement.  Just to let you know, my class debates are taken very seriously. So when Ms. History said get into your corner, you know people were not playing around. Its almost like going into war...with a textbook and a pencil. Possibly a notebook or piece of paper.

Anyway, very long story short: After class, when the debate was over, all he did was yell at me. He wouldn't shut up! I mean, maybe my idea wasn't right (even though I sure I was right), but you don't need to follow me, shouting in my freaking ears!!

H was just about to punch him straight in the nose. Who could blame her?

What do I do? Jay
